Two Styles, One Great Store

What do you get when you combine two women with dramatically different tastes and styles? A great business idea.

Sisters-in-law Priya and Heather Mohan founded Greystone Fine Furniture because of their love for home décor. Just because they share a love for it though, does not mean they share the same aesthetic outlook. In fact, their tastes could not be more diverse.

Heather, the more conservative sister-in-law, likes the English Country influence. She leans toward a refined look where the room tends to be more tailored; the colour palette subtle - soft leather and dark wood might dictate the décor.

Priya’s taste goes another route entirely. Bold and bright with her design choices, this sister-in-law likes colour, and a lot of it. Whimsical and funky, where plaid might meet animal print, Priya likes eclectic and has a look that is all her.

Each take on vintage is represented at Greystone Fine Furniture in two contrasting rooms. Heather’s room – ‘ Downton Abbey’. Richly upholstered settees, a gallery wall of gilded picture frames and soft lighting from an ornate chandelier could inhabit this room. While Priya created a ‘Mad Men’ Room - vibrant, chunky retro pieces, where burnt orange and turquoise are not out of the question.

Both effects are masterful.
